Here's a taste of what I envision…

It's September. Summer is ending. Everything is cooling down, stagnant. We're on the cusp of S4 filming and N&L are awkwardly texting after a few months of silence. They knew they had to rekindle some level of communication. They had to be professional. So every now and then would pop up a "hey, how are you doing?". All that small talk they detested. But forced.

FF to day 1 of filming. L got to set, hands fidgeting already. He hated how uneasy he felt. He spotted N across the room. Talking to the sound people, not missing a beat. His hands started to tremble as his eyes met hers. He hit them against his thigh in an attempt to quell his body's reaction. He felt so torn. He wanted to see her desperately, he missed her, but he also wanted to run in the opposite direction and go back to mindless bliss. He had to confront this shit. The massive elephant in the room that every god damn person was talking about. Honestly, could they shut the fk up? A random burst of anger rippled through him and he clenched his fists, but released them when he noticed N walking towards him. His heart was beating faster than he cared to admit. But he liked the way her hair was falling across her face, brushing against her pink, full lips. "Hello stranger" she said, half-smiling. They caught each other’s gaze but they both broke away, not daring to hold it. "Heeyy, how goes it? Are you… uhm… were you, like…". She cut him off, "you ok, bud?" It cut through him like a knife. He put on his mask immediately and started babbling about not getting enough sleep, gaming at all hours, etc. She looked at him differently. He felt a change in her and he couldn't help but feel concern.

FF to filming scenes. Every interaction they had was different. She was still bright and warm, but he could feel a detachment. It was uncomfortable for him. But when they were filming, she jumped into character so easily, and her eyes filled with such intense emotion, he felt like they were the only two people there. He felt woozy and drunk, and wanted to stare and observe and take her in continuously. When he touched her, all that feeling would ripple through him and he would see the effects of his touch vibrate through her. It made him smirk at his small power, feeding his ego, but above all it made him feel whole. When her lips met his, pressing and moulding, surrendering to his will, and her fingers were tangled through his wavy curls, it felt just as good as the years previous. It hadn't changed and that scared him. But then the director would yell cut and N would pull back, half-smile and look away. Walk away. He knew he deserved it. He'd been a fkn idiot – been acting the maggot as N would say. He didn't mean for things to happen as they did, and at the time, he apologised a thousand times. But the damage had been done.

FF to confrontation. He knocked on her door. He needed to stop this awkwardness. He needed to lay it all out on the line. The last few months were a time of reflection, of what he actually wanted. What he needed. To understand why he didn't feel whole without her. They chalked it down to being close friends, besties, but he wanted to do things that were not friendly. He repressed those thoughts and feelings, because he knew, and she knew, the parts they were playing. But it was bullshit. The lines blurred so early on and being around her, flirting with her, touching her, breathing her in, pretending to be and pretending to not, it was confusing and exhilarating and painful and addictive.

“Oh hi, what’s up?” she said indifferently, opening her trailer door. He winced. “Can I come in? I’d like to chat if that’s ok?”. She looked at him confused, but conceded, “Sure what can I help you with?”. He sat down on one of the chairs, while she sat on a sofa, at right angles to him. He wanted to sit next to her, feel her leg brush up against his, but he knew that wouldn’t allow him to think straight. There was an awkward silence as he struggled to find the words to begin. She looked at him, half-smiling always, then down to her hands that were clasped in her lap. “Soooo…” she trailed. But he interjected. “Ok yep, sorry. Fk. I just need to cut the crap, yeah? I don’t know how you’re feeling about… us?” He wanted to continue but she cut in, “Us? What us?”. She wasn’t going to make this easy. “I mean, fk. I don’t… Fk it. I hate how things are between us right now. Since we finished the press tour and I acted like a fkn idiot, all I can think about is you, and I tried to bury it, I tried so hard, believe me, I know you don’t want me to say these things. We’re suppose to be professional. I’m sorry, I can’t, I need you to know.. I’m… I’m in love with you.” It came rushing out, like a busted tap. Once it started, he couldn’t stop.

A vague silence draped over them. He hadn’t looked at her properly since his rant began. Her face had softened. But she looked sad, tearful. He felt he fked up again. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said anything…” Tears started flowing down her cheeks, and he immediately jumped up and sat next to her on the sofa, placing his hand on her knee. “Oh god, please don’t cry, please.” She brushed away her tears and stood up. “Just… leave, ok? I don’t need this shit right now!” she sniffed, trying to be as forthright as possible. He was shocked and shifted uncomfortably. “I bare my soul to you, and you tell me to… leave? Are you serious? I…” he was starting to get frustrated. She managed to kick him while he was down, and his defences sprang back up. She saw how her words bruised him. She didn’t mean to hurt him, she just… why was he so confusing? She thought things were clear, and even though it upset her, she finally had an understanding, clarity, and then he was saying all this stuff….

“I told you I’m in love with you, god damn it!” She looked away from his eyes, his face, full of emotion. His eyes welled with tears. He approached her, seething, taking his thumb and forefinger and touching the bottom of her chin. She shivered. He drew her chin upwards, her sorrowful eyes meeting his. ”Tell me you don’t have feelings for me, and I’ll leave” initially his words were rough, but as he scanned her face, they softened. “I… I can’t” she murmured. His face inched closer to hers, noses almost touching, “Tell me…” he matched her tone, searching her face, her crystalline eyes, lips, those beautiful full lips. He unconsciously licked his, wanting to taste her sweetness. She saw and breathed in deeply, breathing in his heavenly scent. Why did he always have to smell so good? He smirked seeing her reaction. She moved her face forward, their noses brushing, and she whispered, “I feel it too…”.

Evil laugh. Sorry guys, I’m not a writer, but this wanted to come out of me. It's not very angsty but they soft babies irl. I’m manifesting this shit so fkn hard. Believe you me, this is gonna happen people.

Speaking of Collei, she's one of the few people that he lets borrow his TCG cards. He taught her how to play, built her a deck, he even gave her some of his duplicates so she'd have a better chance at winning. He also watches over every time she plays. It's like a dad at his son's football game.

Hates the rainforest. They always get eaten up by mosquitos :(

He uses Tighnari's tail and ears as fidgets sometimes. They'll just be sitting on the couch reading or something and Cyno will just start messing with his ears or combing his fingers through his tail.

Tighnari's in game color palette hurts me so I darkened everything a bit.

He's definitely autistic, but we already knew that. His special interests are botany and mycology.

They also have an auditory processing disorder. Their ears let them hear a lot, so it's hard for them to focus on one thing at a time. They're also very sensitive to sound; Alhaitham lent them some of his noise cancelling headphones [adjusted by Kaveh to fit Tighnari's head (and style) of course] to help.

Kit has a huge lighting scar on kits back. Kit's also scared of storms, but kit tries to pretend that kits not. Cyno can tell something's up, though.

Speaking of being scared of storms, Tighnari is scared of electro in general. Stem gets very nervous when stem sees Cyno's vision activate, but stem pretends stem doesn't.

He's a vegan. He absolutely hates the meat industry and how it treats animals. He grows all of his food by himself in Ghandarva Ville. Collei's asked him if he'd like her to become vegan, too, but he always says "You're still growing, you need all the nutrients you can get," and tells her about all the supplements he needs to take.

After Eleazar disappeared, Jabir became Collei's emotional support dog.

Collei has scale-shaped scars on his body from having Eleazar for so long. He also often uses elbow crutches and a wheelchair, since Eleazar had him in bed so often that he's struck with bouts of weakness.

She gifts small pottery to Collei! She used to make them as hard for her to hold her medication, but Collei doesn't really need it anymore so she just gives her cute ones. She made a clay vase shaped like Baron Bunny once.

I named my wanderer Kunimitsu. It has the opposite meaning of Kunikuzushi, and I can still call him Kuni :3

And I gave him a Goetian name, too. Beleth. I chose Beleth because he looks like a cat and plays music (according to Wikipedia idk). This way it ties into Scarameow and his signature weapon.

Best friends with Nilou!! She's teaching them how to dance (secretly ofc). Nahida convinced them to do it, said it would be like physical therapy. Kuni didn't like her at first, but has since grown attached to her and gets sad when they have to miss classes.

Since aer ball-jointed, ae often have aer joints lock up. When this happens, ae uses aer vision to move around. It's not easy, but ae manage. This is why Nahida told aer that Nilou's dance classes would be physical therapy, to stop aer joints from locking up. If Kuni was a human, it'd be arthritis. Ae wears braces on aer arms.

Kuni has a crack in enis face from where eni fell from the Shouki no Kami.

I uncovered rems beauty mark. Honestly just because I think it's pretty. But for an actual reason rem would stop hiding it is...honestly, since Ei doesn't remember rem. Plus, Nahida helped rem become more confident in remself and rems own skin.

He sees Collei as a little sister. He remembers seeing her around Dottore's lab when she was a kid, so seeing her in Sumeru made him weirdly happy. He'd die for her fr.

They visit Xiao occasionally and spar. Kuni found out that he was Morax's kid and was like !!! He like me fr !!!

Feeds the stray cats around Sumeru city. It's gotten to the point that they see him and all come running hoping for snacks and affection.

black mask sprite reference (Maruki's Palace): first and second semester-based

So a couple of days ago I made this post about how Akechi uses his first and second semester sprites in the third semester in the palace, basically because I wanted to know why he was grinning at Yoshizawa in her time of need.

Today I poked a bit more and produced this handy reference list of black mask sprites and their "parent" icons. He really does have a full set of detective-prince-in-the-black-mask faces—though they are not generally used as you might expect.

Each black mask sprite should be here, with its corresponding unmasked sprite, and an overlay showing that everything does in fact line up. Here's the second post, featuring Akechi's usual third semester sprites.

Note that these are not the engine room sprites, where he's looking to the left, getting his evil on, and breaking in various ways; these are the P5R sprites he uses in Maruki's Palace.

Decided to play Final Fantasy XIII again. Can't believe I used to hate this game so much. It definitely has significant flaws that I greatly dislike but there was always great stuff about it too. All I know is that comparitively, XV is sooooooo much worse. I yearn for the days when FF used to mean something, when it used to have a real color palette, when it didn't completely cower from strong contextually fueled EMOTION. Don't even talk to me about XV's matching emotionless dudebros with their pet femme boy they won't let be gay and their sickening obsession with Cup Noodles...Seriously don't talk to me about it I hate FFXV with a vengeance and I am right to and it's better for the world that you are spared of my ranting. Hello y'all, I've been receiving some likes lately on kintsugi and I just wanted to appear and explain why I haven't been here.

First of all, happy 2024

I've had a hard time since last semester, because of exams, summer job and the actual course of uni (I took too many subjects and I didn't have free time). If you add my anxiety to that... I've felt like hyperventilating for months now.

I'm doing my exams now but when I can, I enjoy my little rest of studying by writing stuff, so this is the actual status of some of what I have going on:

●KINTSUGI:

-Chapters 6, 7 and 8 written, but waiting for time to pass to make corrections

-Chapter 9 being written

I don't know how many more chapters it will take me, but I can say that with what I have planned, at least another 2, reaching the 11 chapters.

(I think you will like this part a lot because other BTS members appear and give a reality check to the main characters, who are stupid and in love and ansgty because communication... is not their best feature)

●Palette

I've talked about this previously but not that much, but here it is. A Namjoon ff were main characters are strangers to lovers thanks to a casual date on a museum that makes them connect in a lot of senses.

Still on the writing but halfway done, this one is thiiickk with almost 9k words by now. I'll try to write it after ending kintsugi to correct them one after another. I'm in love with this one that I can't believe that all I've written comes from my mind.

●ONE SHOTS

I have lots of ideas for it, but I keep putting them on a list of "to do" cause if not... I'm unable to end anything hehehe

This one... is my baby. I wrote it when I was at my lowest.

Right now at 200 pages... but there's still a lot to go because I wrote what I wanted and I have to complete the part of the story that links all those moments and to have some background.

Lots of emotions well written, but needs consistency and coherence.

It's in Spanish as it is my native language, but I imagine myself translating it into English on a future.

Yeaah, that was long but the update I wanted to give for some weeks.

I hope you all are okay and doing well even though our babies are away, but... the good news is that Jin and Hobi are both returning THIS YEAR and 2025 is NEXT YEAR. We've been doing amazing and went through hell in 2023 but in six months Jin is in charge of all of us and it's going to be pure chaos.

I miss them lots.

A Palette of Emotions Update

Just a little update: I have been trying to post weekly, however, currently with school, I have a massive assignment due the beginning of April that has taken up 80% of my writing time. I am still writing A Palette of Emotions, and the entire story is overall outlined and ready to be written and uploaded. I just want to let you all know I may not be able to meet my weekend deadline as consistently as I have been for the month of March. I hope you understand, and continue to show my stories some support :)))) I’ll be back once this assignment passed and school begins to wrap up!

I know Blackhat is supposed to be this comical character of being the embodiment of evil but I wish they took a creative take on it by making him be all sorts of evil that isn't just the generic edgy color palette. I'm not sure if I worded this right. I just kinda wish that Blackhat in the show on was more interesting when you think about the fact that he's the embodiment of evil even if he isn't the main character.

Also thoughts on him being able to easily kill well known heros from different shows? Personally feel like they made the heros weaker just so he could look cool.

Yeah, they don't really do much with BH when he's on-screen. it's just the typical routine of him either scaring someone, using his powers for really nothing, and doing something that's typically reprehensible. But not even like in a fun way, like him picking out a puppy to eat as a snack. Wow. That's actually more merciful than boiling them in acid or whatever.

And, yeah, a lot of the characters are either the "weaker" villains/heroes, or they flat out butcher their characters. Like making it seem like Mojo Jojo is weak for having emotions (actual personality) and being tricked/beaten by the girls. And that in turn kind of makes PPG seem like their weak. Dare I say, these girls would have no problem beating the shit out of Flug, Dem, and even BH. Not including 505 because they would cuddle him afterwards.

Like of all PPG villains, you're gonna pick the ones that have actually gotten very, very close to beating them or even needed the help of others. Why not the Amoeba Boys, ffs? x3

But, yeah, even the actual heroes in Villainous just feel like losers or just easily beatable. The only one that actually felt like a threat was Heed, which is quite annoying, considering they had built up these guys just for them to be painfully average or downright disappointments.

A villain is only as good the hero, and when you have weak heroes well....

Let me take you on a journey, more specifically, the journey taylor’s music brought me to.

But fine for irl context, and disclaimer as well, I’m a new swiftie.

Yes, folklore was the one that really really pulled me in.

I’ve always loved her music, those that I knew of anyways, and she’s always held a special place in my heart and some part of me always knew that I was always going to explore her discography someday… and those days and months of exploring aforementioned music finally arrived.

So, for context, I’ll say that I mostly loved her bops. I always knew and loved her as that teenage girl feeling of wanderlust, and just wonder, and sweetness, and love…

That was what taylor was to me, the feeling of love.

It’s only when I very quite recently really really grew up and at the same time, taylor’s most popular music at the time, folklore, also happened to be really grown up, is when I realized and found out that taylor always had this depth to her.

So, for me, debut to speak now and half of red will always have that child-like wanderstruck look of awe and love vibe and feeling to me, cause nostalgia, it’s what I spent my life thinking of it and her as.

Also it’s been some time since I fully listened to those albums, so the journey/throughline narrative that I see from taylor’s discography is

Debut – young kid figuring it all out, emotional but sweet

Fearless – growth, ambition, dreams, complexity of wanting someone you know you’re not supposed to

Speak now – cinematic movie like quality of storytelling, these are fantasies, epics, novels all on their own, legend

Red – reckless abandon, intense extreme adult love, and also growth

1989 – true love, actual adulthood, scandal, gossip, hiding, protecting what’s important, dwindling mercurial highs

One thing that I started to notice only on 1989 and then it looked to be the case for the ff albums too, is that the latter half of one album oft bleeds onto the next one

So like the sound of I know places and even kinda wonderland to some extent, is very similar to reputation’s sound.

Then idk, new year’s day being a really sweet love song transitioning into lover

And then it’s nice to have a friend’s simple acoustic nostalgia & daylight’s nature imagery transitioning into folklore

And theeenn I’m betting the lakes as a positive song is a foreshadowing for the more softer positive outlook evermore is going to have, compared to folklore at least

But I honestly believe that if you look at the albums themselves, debut to speak now and red all seem to be about fleeting romances that pass and go

But 1989, that’s when things start to get real, and I believe, that’s when taylor really starts to get her muse…

Cause if you look at from 1989 to folklore evermore heck even to the rerelease of fearless and red…

These songs seem to be stemming from one relationship

A relationship that’s secret, that’s fragile and delicate, and complicated and complex

And correct me if I’m wrong, but…

Point is, I think starting from 1989, most of the songs taylor wrote and sung about could all be attributed to just one person.

SEPHIROTH BEING JEALOUS INCLUDES:

He may not seem like the jealous type, but when he’s in a relationship he screams dominant. So when something is his, meaning you, he’s going to make sure you know you belong to him. 

His brows will barely furrow, eyes locked on you, perhaps his jaw locked. If another man was beginning to flirt with you in front of him, he’ll remain somewhat calm, but deep down inside he’s just wanting to plummet the guy into dirt.

When the exchange is all done and said, he’ll subtly whisper in your ear, a smirk on his face, sending shivers down your spine as he lists all the things he’s going to do to you later that night.

CLOUD STRIFE BEING JEALOUS INCLUDES:

Cloud seems to let his emotions get the better of him sometimes, so jealousy would be pretty common despite hiding it very well.

If someone happened to be flirting with you in front of him, or getting a little close, he might speak up about it. He’s not dominant, but he is protective, so he’ll want to make sure everything is in good intentions. And sometimes it can go as far as rudely commenting or insulting the other party.

Cloud would kind of hold that anger or grudge a little longer then most, but a few close kisses and a night in together would ease his tensions.

ZACK FAIR BEING JEALOUS INCLUDES:

He’s our trademark happy-go-lucky boy, so being jealous wouldn’t be in his palette per say. He trusts you and everyone around him like family, but when he does get jealous, he won’t talk to you for awhile.

He’ll be sour in his own silent way, probably finding a way to distract himself with training or going for a walk. He doesn’t like to feel like this, and most certainly wouldn’t want you to see him acting like that either. So he’ll handle it himself. 

But he’ll find a way to pass those negative emotions quickly, and go back to being our happy boi. He’ll come back to you with the same smile and take you out on a little date or dinner, just to reassure the two of you that you’re still together and nothing would break you apart.

VINCENT VALENTINE BEING JEALOUS INCLUDES:

He’s had a history of being mildly jealous. (Involving a certain Lucrecia and Hojo) But he tries not to let those negative emotions get the better of him, especially after the experiments conducted, he just doesn’t want to feel anything anymore.

So he won’t get jealous, and even if he does he’ll hide it. He’s good at controlling what emotions to exhibit to the world and you, so you might even glance over the fact he’s getting a little bothered. If he’’s outwardly expressing an emotion, it’s because he want’s to make sure you know something is bothering him.

But jealousy? He doesn’t want to send the wrong idea so he’ll certainly keep that to himself.

Who is more in love Debbie or Ruth 😍

Oh, I’d say they both love each other equally!

When Debbie broke Ruth’s ankle (and Ruth didn’t know about the drugs, thought it was on purpose), still the first thing Ruth says is “where’s Debbie?” So….yeah I’d say Ruth loves Debbie quite a bit. And, Ruth forgave Debbie in about zero seconds for that leg break. She stuck around for Debbie’s hostility and hatred in season 1 and 2 and just kept hoping for forgiveness, taking any little crumb Debbie offered with so much gratitude like it was her whole world. Which is huge because Ruth is used to being this relentless person, think of what we saw in the pilot, that person who breaks rules at an audition and goes after what she wants no matter what, and with Debbie she just has to wait for forgiveness for seasons and stand still and she does that, for Debbie, she never pushes, even though it’s not in Ruth, she does it anyway. And, every time Debbie grows and finds happiness and empowerment, (well, when it’s not tearing Ruth down) it’s as if Debbie’s happiness is Ruth’s own. And when it relates to Ruth in any way, that is next level happiness for Ruth. Ruth is in tears when Debbie talks about what wrestling means to Debbie in 1x09 like…yeah her love for Debbie goes deep.

Ruth pays attention and listens to Debbie (Debbie: “I want to fly” (1x07) -> Ruth: “You flew.” (1x10) Debbie: “I feel like a goddamn superhero.” (1x09) -> Ruth: “You’re like a superhero, flyin’ back and forth.” (3x06)” etc etc) I don’t think this repetition in words is coincidental. Ruth wants Debbie to know she listens and wants Debbie to feel supported. Just like Ruth listened and read between the lines and knew Debbie wasn’t happy with Mark even when Debbie lied to herself. Ruth can see through Debbie’s facade and Debbie hates and loves and needs Ruth for that. Both Ruth and Debbie lie to themselves quite a bit and the only people to see through those lies is really each other. So, yeah they need each other quite a bit.

Not only does Ruth listen but Ruth looks. Longingly. A lot. At Debbie. Even when she’s standing next to her boyfriend saying goodbye to him ffs. She’s always looking at Debbie. And Ruth admires Debbie’s body. A lot. I mean that monologue about Debbie’s ass…we get it, Ruth. And Debbie totally does the same for Ruth. They stare at each other so much I feel like it takes up a solid five minutes of each episode…And, neither can handle the other dating which says a lot. Like that part where Ruth says Debbie made out with a costar on Paradise Cove? Lmaoo Ruth was jealous and bitter still years later talking about it in 2x07. They can’t handle the other flirting with or dating anyone else. It’s always so tense and weird when they talk about or are on the verge of dating other people.

More than anything in the world, I think Ruth wants to be able to communicate with Debbie. Ruth has difficulty actually saying how she really feels with Debbie most of the time or expressing what she really wants around Debbie. So, she wants to wrestle with her, to act in scenes with her. Ruth expresses this desire for fictional communication again and again. Through fiction she’s free to tell the truth, to be herself around Debbie. To say how she feels. To feel like an equal. To truly communicate with Debbie. Plus, to connect over something meaningful to Ruth since acting means so much to her. She just needs to find a way to be her powerful, badass, honest self around Debbie without that artifice of fiction. And figure out what she needs so they can meet as equals more.

Off the top of my head, I’d say Ruth is more complete on her own meanwhile we’ve seen that Debbie legit needs Ruth to function. Debbie would say she hates Ruth and then die for her without blinking an eye. (yeah I think Ruth would die for Debbie too but I just mean…for Debbie, it’s like oxygen she can hate Ruth she can try to walk away and say she doesn’t need Ruth but she can’t seem to live without Ruth. Seriously, Ruth is like Debbie’s life.). She loves her in a way that is still not totally healthy but is getting to a wayyy better place and I think Season 4, having a bit of distance, could get them both to a really great place. But next season is going to be insane for Debbie, at least if they base it on what we’ve seen from them the past few seasons. Ruth is the only person Debbie can be honest with about who she is underneath it all. She can show Ruth anger and envy and greed and power and just her whole fucking palette of emotions and self. Around men, she becomes paralyzed and small. Around most people, she becomes paralyzed and small. She’s getting better at showing others more sides to her but still. I also think it says so much that Debbie never told her mother that Ruth was the one Mark cheated with. Because she knows she’s going to forgive Ruth right off the bat, and so she does. In a way, she resents Ruth in Season 1 because she resents that she can’t walk away and resents how deeply she needs Ruth.

GLOW shows again and again that Ruth’s line in 3x10 is accurate, they understand each other better than anyone. They talk in unison all the time first of all. They have a lot in common underneath it all the more you think about both characters. The show makes a point of having Debbie say to Tex in 3x10, “You have no control as an actor. You can drive 300 miles to an audition for people you know and still not get the part. Or any part, ever. Which, you know, I can never say to Ruth, because I know she won’t be able to hear it.” The show has Debbie demonstrate how deeply she knows Ruth, that she knows Ruth will say no to her proposal, in the same episode she proposes to her…I find that so fascinating? Then they underline their connection with actual text about Debbie understanding Ruth better than anyone…yeahh.

Debbie does whatever she can to spend time with Ruth. She chooses Ruth again and again, even when she knows she shouldn’t, even when it makes no sense. She can’t help but choose Ruth. I mean I could point to examples but seriously they show up twelve times per episode. Well here’s a couple anyway– Debbie has no one to talk to and doesn’t know whether to go back to Mark? She speaks about it to Ruth of all people in 1x09. She speaks to her about what wrestling means to her then too. I just…Debbie wants to build a life and network in 3x10? Well it needs to include Ruth or it’s no life at all. Debbie is supposed to wait until Christmas to tell Ruth this? She runs after her in an airport anyway, just because she wants to. Also just the fact that Debbie chooses to work with Ruth in 1x06 and chooses to work at GLOW with Ruth right there at all…that’s insane, she’s always been in love with Ruth, there’s no other explanation for her behavior.

Ruth hasn’t had the same consistent opportunity to choose Debbie. Debbie been the one with that power. So, now end of season 3 flips the script. If they do season 4 justice which I actually think they might, Ruth is going to be the one dictating their pace. Ruth gets to sort out what she feels and what she wants from her career and life in general and how deeply she needs Debbie and gets to come back to Debbie as a more complete individual who can be Debbie’s equal. Which is a huge and necessary step for her as a person and for their relationship. And Debbie has to sort out who she is beyond Ruth’s wife (it’s my post I can call her that if I want sfdjlk) so she can approach Ruth with a healthier, more complete sense of self too. Anyway, lots left to do in 10 episodes but lots of depth to both sides of their love already shown over like 30 episodes…so uhh yeah but point is my final answer is equal on both sides.

Understanding Colour 

In order for us to see anything we need light

We have natural sunlight and artificial light which we think of as white light

‘White light’ contains the full rainbow spectrum of colours as seen when refracted through a prism

In a physical sense, colour is understood as electromagnetic wavelengths (or frequency) and its intensity.

Red is longer than blue, hence the hues of the sunset being different reds.

Each colour seen in the rainbow is a defined part of the spectrum.

In a psychophysical sense, colours are a ‘learnt’ concept.

We learn what the word ‘red’ refers to where the hue sits in the spectrum.

However, there are many different types of ‘red’ due to variations in pigments and lights.

Warmer is redder, cooler is bluer/greener

Basic Terminology 

Hues (or colour)

Hue is the actual colour of the image or object.

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, Purple and Pink.

Are black & White colours? We debated whether they would be, since black is the absence of colour and white is all colour through light. Making hue, local colours.

Monochromatic

One (mono) singular hue.

Saturation (or chroma) 

Saturation refers to the intensity of the Hue and Desaturation.

Highly saturated images look very vivid and desaturated look muted.

Saturation is the key to mood and emotion in a hue.

Value (or brightness) 

Value refers to the brightness of a hue.

You can think about it in terms of light and shadow, different values are achieved by mixing the hue with different amounts of black or white.

High key; Low Key in photography. High Key is mostly light tones, Low Key is mostly dark tones.

It’s highly recommended that artists work with up to seven values (including black and white) though five is best.

Drawing materials, computer screens and photography don’t have as great a range of values as our eyes see, so we have to use value relative to our materials

Each byte (number) refers to either red, green or blue with a range of 00 to FF or 0 to 255 (decimal notation)

Edit: below the cut!rant thinky thoughts bc I’m real worried about what the writers think is the point of Cam as a character 

So Can doesn’t make any sense as a real person in-universe. 

His emotional maturity is w e i r d it doesn't follow Bernie's pattern and it doesn't follow Marcus's either. He got this weird “I dont want what my parents want for me,” even tho either of his parents actively forced him into medicine? 

Like, having both ur parents in the same field and feeling as if you should do that is one thing, but you’re only going to feel like you should do that thing if you don’t know what else you want to do enough to stand on your on feet and say: I want this other thing. in which case, the actual issue is the not knowing what you want in life, and not external influences i.e. parents wanting you do do something more than the you wanting something else.

so Cam chose to go into medicine, of his own volition, and then dropped out for the same reason. 

and obvi Bernie is excited to see him go back to medicine in Indefensible bc he'd been rolling after flunking out and not really doing anything nor having anything else he wanted to do. but she didn’t force him back into it, he chose to come back bc of Morven etc. Then he came to Holby and then left for the same reasons: they were all his choice.

Just like him agreeing to observe must have been his own choice. And I can see how that agreement to come observe might be just about the fact that the surgery sounds interesting regardless of what medicine he wants to specialise in, but he could just as easily have said “no thanks i’m happy in London” if he really didn’t want to come back to Holby or spend time w his mother. 

But he chose to come back for a bit of his own volition bc there's no way Bernie could have exerted enough pressure on Cam while he was living and working on London to make him feel pressured to be involved in trauma. She’s been distracted af by huge things happening in her life recently and there's no logical way she could have been involved enough in Cam's life to make his decision about her. That kind of pressure w the filial history they have would be enormous and it’s not something Bernie is capably of doing unconsciously. 

we know she's not an inherently overbearing parent - of course she has expectations and wants and she’s def been more involved w Cam and his life since the car accident and then again after Elinor died, but more likely than not that’s just text messages and the odd phone call), but that’s and nothing that could possibly make Cam feel like his life decisions are all about her bc Cam has had plenty of time apart from Bernie to develop into his own human away from maternal expectations.

and if she had intentionally tried to apply that kind of pressure (wildly out of character as it is) there’s no way she’d have had that time or the energy to make that happen anyway. like, she can’t even got on top of her paperwork ffs. so it simply isn’t possible for Bernie to have pressured Cam enough to make him feel his life choices about her.

So unless the writers are deliberately trying to create a character with no inherent sense of self and is thus incapably of know what he wants in the first place (which i don’t think they were), neither his relationship w Bernie or his emotional palette makes any sense what so ever. 

And it unsettles me, bc I think what writers are trying to implying that Cam has some extremely serious emotional issue re his mother, but nothing serious enough for him/them to actually address in canon.

Bc when Cam came to work at Holby he makes out like Bernie refuses to talk to him of her own volition (i.e. “this is not an appropriate work place conversation” “well you’ll just have to have a proper conversation w them then”) despite the fact that we know Bernie wants her children in her life and def kept in contact w Cam after the car accident (bc you don’t not keep in contact w ur kid when they’re been in a car accident like wot?).

and like, Bernie’s surprise at Cam being at Holby could only have been bc Cam never told her he was coming back to medicine/the ward. he must have made the decision not to mention it to her, bc sending a “oh btw mum, i’m coming to work w you” text would be the natural thing to do in that situation. But he didn’t do that. Add that to all the digs at Bernie about never using her words to validate him re the compliments etc

And when he left w/out saying anything is was if he was skulking away, and I think it was supposed to be both an act of care i.e. not wanting to worry her more than what she always was re Serena, as well as an unconscious but deliberate act actually wanting to hurt Bernie (like a revenge act of leaving when she needs support akin to how it felt to Cam when Bernie went off to serve during his teens, for instance).

And now they’re framing that him being back at holby is Bernie's fault, as if he - as an adult human - has no say about how his life turns out. Which is simply Not True? it cannot be true, bc anything that would compromise his emotional development to the that degree cannot have existed in his childhood and align w the canon we have for Bernie and Bernie/Marcus.

Absent parenting only messes someone up so much but Cam appears to be displaying extremely deep seated issues that outflank which is logically conceivable given the canon info we know atm but the writers aren’t engaging w any of this, at all. And it’s got me real unsettled I don’t know why they’d include this content and not address it unless they’re legit not aware it’s in his character. In which case, Cam is legit a just prop they bring in to traumatise Bernie when they feel she needs a good kicking when she’s down, rather than a legit character in his own right, and that’s got me fucking unsettled.

A little venting

I want to be optimistic about The Last Jedi but I have so many misgivings. I’ll gonna vent about them to get them off my chest, but I’ll put it behind a cut so I don’t dampen anyone else’s enthusiasm.

Rey better not be a fucking Skywalker. Or a Kenobi. Or a Solo. Or related to any other legendary characters. Just. Fucking. STOP. It’s time to move on. A new generation needs a new hero, one that doesn’t have several lifetimes (and two trilogies) worth of emotional baggage. Not everyone has to be connected to everyone else. 

Don’t redeem Kyle Ron. Don’t try and paint him as sympathetic. He’s done unforgivable things for entirely selfish reasons and does not deserve forgiveness. This isn’t “I lost the one I love and it shattered me,” this is “Nobody treats me with the respect I think I deserve so fuck all y’all.”

I absolutely hate all of the wild speculations I’ve heard about the identity of Benicio’s character “DJ.” I don’t want him to be a “Dark Jedi” because first of all that’s complete bullshit. And I don’t want him to be Ezra Bridger because... well, partly because I dislike Ezra, but also because if he winds up as a shifty, slightly scummy character it negates his entire arc in Rebels and I AM SO FUCKING TIRED OF CHARACTER ARCS BEING DISCARDED JUST FOR SOME BULLSHIT MELODRAMA FUCKWITTERY!! Seriously. TFA already destroyed the OT, I really don’t need TLJ unmaking Rebels, too. 

That said, if he winds up being just some random sleemo who is Rey’s father and he ditched her on Jakku without a second thought in order to pay for his own passage off the planet, I’d be OK with that.

I hate hate hate that Kyle’s scar is so thin and artistic that it’s barely even noticeable in some lighting. That is such a massive cop-out. It makes it blatant that they need him to look physically attractive. Yeah, you can argue that he isn’t that attractive but he sure as hell makes all the white fangirls wet. Stylistically I think it would have been more interesting if he had a massive scar twisting across his face to reflect how twisted he’s become, but oh well. I also thought his eyes should have turned yellow when he killed his father and that didn’t happen, either.

If Kyle’s scar is going to be so perfect then Finn’s better be barely-there, too, because I am not down with that racist bullshit. White Villain has to look perfect, but Black Hero needs to be viciously scarred? Fuck you. I’d rather have both of them coping with big scars, but if Kyle gets the artistic treatment then Finn had better, too.

I am sick and tired of monotone color schemes. Everything is in shades of black, brown, and cream. There’s very little color anywhere and if there is, it’s muted. Even Effie’s- I mean Amilyn’s- pink hair is muted. This is a trend that has been going on for decades and it’s time for it to end. Get a broader palette, stop desaturating your goddamned movies, and FFS someone explain to Hollywood that a serious movie can still have bright colors!

I am also tired of all the new aliens being introduced. I love diversity. I love seeing just how big the Star Wars universe is. But we already have a lot of cool aliens to play with, many of whom have had little to no development at all, so why not work on expanding some of them instead? Need a tall shaggy alien? Add a Wookiee. Need a short furry alien? Add an Ewok. Hell, it’d be nice to see how their culture has been affected by events around the Battle of Endor. Or the Chadra-Fan. Bat-people are awesome. Give us some Nautolans and Rodians. Show us more Twi’leks and Togruta and Zabraks. The comics and cartoons have plenty of options, too. There’s no need to keep filling the ranks with generic aliens who have no history within the Star Wars ‘verse and no connection to fandom.

I’m honestly not looking forward to Luke being a Bitter Old Man. He was the shining light of the original trilogy, the one who carried hope to places no one would ever expect it to help and he accomplished amazing deeds because he believed that there is some innate goodness in people (well, maybe not Palps, but definitely his father). I can understand how time and events will have worn him down, but it’s bad enough he slunk away after the massacre, having him also be jaded about things is just... heartbreaking. We need some things to stay Good and Pure. I just... don’t want to see the OT characters destroyed even more than they’ve already been.

I don’t necessarily disagree with the “Jedi must end” thing, but I hope it isn’t going to be some kind of bitter missive. Ugh.

I just wish I could look forward to the new movie and concentrate on the things I think will be great (like Rose and maybe her sister) rather than being worried and pessimistic about all the things I think will happen that I won’t like.

YES, MY FF OTP!! 8D And... Probably the only FF15 pairing that is actively ship and like haha. I’ve been thinking of many possible situations  with these two lately. One thing before answering, I know Lunafreya and Noctis are canonically engaged and deeply care for one another. But my personal headcanon is that they love each other platonic only, they DEEPLY care for one another and would seriously give their lives to save one another, but they do not feel for each other romantically. They were after all engaged to one another when they were only kids, who knows, maybe even from the day they were born. You can be happy in those kind of marriages, but do not necessarily love one another romantically. Because of this Noct and Luna are fine with each other having a partner outside of their marriage.

Dating:

Where was their first official date? Most likely in the valley near the meteor. It’s a perfect spot for fishing, photos and just relaxing. However, I can also see them riding their chocobos around the end of it. Now I know that they’ve known each other for a very long time, but I like to think that they didn’t get serious until at least the events of FF15.

What is their favorite date location? I feel like it would be Lestallum. It has very nice locations to hang out, some good restaurants and overall and good looking view.

How many dates before their first kiss? At least ten, Noctis needs his time and space. Prompto will not force him into doing things he doesn’t like. Noctis was the one to kiss Prompto actually.

Who asked who out first? Prompto asked Noctis. Noctis is not the kind of person to ask people out.

How many dates before they considered each other a couple? Most likely after their first kiss.

Friends:

How many mutual friends do they have? Two or three I believe. Ignis and Gladiolus of course. And then there is Cindy who I pretty much consider their friend as well at this point.

Which one of their friends is most likely to get in between an argument between the ship? Gladiolus, I mean, he already gets between people arguing in the game, so it’s pretty obvious he would as well if they were to argue.

Which one has more friends? I personally think Prompto. Prompto is the kind of person to just talk with random people and make friends easily. Where Noctis just stands by most of the time.

Which one has introduced the other to more people? Noctis, he introduced Prompto to Gladiolus, Ignis, Lunafreya, his dad and probably even more people.

Did they start out as friends and made their way to a couple, or were they a couple almost right away? They definitely started out as friends first and were friends for at least a couple of years before finally starting to date. I guess we could say that love formed in unhappy times.

Arguments:

What do they argue about the most? Prompto would most likely argue with Noctis that he doesn’t care too much and could show some more emotion at times. Noctis would probably argue about things he disagrees with.

How do they usually solve their disagreements? They talk it out, look for ways to improve and if that doesn’t work, they distance themselves for a few hours before making up again.

Do they argue a lot or not very often? Not too often.

Who admits to being wrong more often? Prompto. Noctis, doesn’t always feel like it.

Sex:

Who is more likely to initiate sex? Prompto.

Do they prefer to do it in a bed, or do they prefer a chair, or perhaps the shower? I think they’d prefer to do it in bed, Prompto would maybe try different spots like the couch of in the shower, but Noctis will not always agree with it.

Maybe other spots? In their tent or in a lake? Only if Noct feels like it though.

Do they practice any kind of bdsm in the bedroom at all and if so, what kinds? Not at all.

Who’s usually more dominant in the bedroom? Prompto, but sometimes they take turns.

Lights on or off? They most likely use candles for a more intimate atmosphere, so somewhere in between.

Do they share any kinks? I can see Prompto liking water sports (aka sex in the water) and talking Noctis into it. 

Does either one have any kinks that they don’t have in common with the other? No.

Have they ever had sex anywhere public before? No. They only do it when there are no people around.

Who would be most likely to suggest bringing in a third person and who would that person be? Prompto would most likely ask to bring Cindy in. Prompto kind of likes Cindy as well... But, Cindy sees him more as a friend and is more interested in cars haha. Noctis is fine with Prompto having fun outside of their relationship (heck, he is engaged himself) but wouldn’t want to have sex with two people at once. Prompto was most likely a bit disappointed haha.

Cuddling:

When are they most likely to cuddle? Around the campfire after a busy day, in the car, in bed or on the couch.

Where is their favorite place to cuddle? Around the campfire, it’s warm, cozy and a good place to cuddle up against someone.

Who’s usually the big spoon? Noctis surprisingly is.

Do they cuddle often? They actually do! They cuddle at least every time they go camping.

Marriage:

Are they married? If not, is it something that could happen between them? They’re not married and most likely never will, it’s a bit difficult with Noctis already being engaged. Noctis would most likely try to find a way that would allow Prompto to live with him and Luna as well.

If they are married, where did they get married at? If not married, what is their dream wedding location? If they were to get married their dream location wouldn’t really be a location, it would be traveling around the country on chocobos.

If married, who proposed to who? If not married, who would be more likely to propose to who? Noctis would. Prompto will not propose to Noctis, knowing he is already engaged, he feels that this choice is up to Noct.

If they are married, which one moved in with the other? If not married, who would be more likely to move in with the other? Prompto would definitely move in with Noctis. But even if Noctis were to become a king someday and move into the castle, he’d still like to travel often if he knew his people would be fine without him for a while. Besides, Lunafreya wouldn’t mind taking over some of the work.

Children:

Do they have kids? If not, would they consider having kids? Depending on how events turn out they do eventually have one kid. I personally headcanon Prompto as trans, so having kids naturally isn’t too much of a problem. If the canon ending didn’t happen Luna, Noctis and Prompto eventually move together and Noctis and Prompto have one child, a little girl. If the canon ending happened, there is a change that something might have happened on accident and Prompto ended up as a single parent in the end.

How many kids do they have? If no kids, how many kids would they want to have? Prompto would definitely want two or three children. Noctis wouldn’t want kids at all at first even if he knows the Lucis bloodline will have to continue. Luna and Prompto were most likely eventually able to talk him into a compromise, which is having only one child. Noctis doesn’t regret the decision and loves his daughter to pieces.

What are the children’s names?  If no kids, what would they name their kids? I’m going to take my time and think of a proper name now. xD She’d most likely be named Spera (which means Hope), Lilium (which means Lily) or Bellatrix (which is a star and means Warrior). Not too sure, I’m still looking for a nice meaning that I can translate into a Latin name.

Random:

What are three random headcannons you have about the ship that are not related to romance or sex? - They LOVE chocobos and would most likely start a chocobo farm after all the events.- Besides photography Prompto really love knitting and will repair everyone’s clothes whenever there is a hole in it. He will also make clothes for them.- They favorite holiday location is the beach, they can hang out there almost the entire time.

Which one is more likely to suggest getting pets? Prompto, he suggested going to the chocobo farm in the game as well and pets his bird all the time. He really would love to get a  pet.

Which one eats more snack foods? Naminé, she loves to try all kinds of stuff and has a sweet tooth! Even if Xion loves ice-cream… She eats also very healthy.

What is their favorite movie to watch together? I don’t think they like watching TV that much, but if it comes down to it, something with adventure and action like Indiana Jones.

What is their favorite tabletop game to play together? Monopoly. Prompto mostly wins.

What are your three absolute favorite things about this ship? 1. They balance each other perfectly.2. They have a very healthy relationship already as friends.3. Their colour palettes omfg.

What is one thing you don’t like about this ship? The fact that they would logically never be able to end up together because Noctis is a prince who is already engaged to a princess.
